New Owner Richard Schoonover to Offer Specialty Retailers Classic Children's Collection with New Styles, European Sophistication and Added Fashion Trends

Recognizing a tremendous opportunity to leverage brand awareness and loyalty for specialty store customers, new owner Richard Schoonover of the True Silver Corporation has acquired the Sophie Dess brand from the previous owner, the New World Kids Company.

Since 1981, the Sophie Dess brand has been well known among customers of children's specialty stores for its European styling, fine fabrics and hand-made smocking and trimmings.

"Our research showed us that customers have kept asking for Sophie Dess, and, it appears that a nice niche still exists in the upscale specialty business for our new Sophie Dess collections," noted Richard Schoonover. "Sophie Dess has a very loyal, dedicated customer base that is brand conscious. We want to maintain that special relationship and image, while pushing the actual collections to be somewhat more fashion forward in an effort to stay relevant to our affluent customers," stated Richard Schoonover.

In business since 1984, the True Silver Corporation is a Florida based company that designs, imports and distributes various brands and products in the children's apparel market.
